Junior Section Figure Marching 2004/5

The Junior Section Figure Marching took place on Saturday 27th November at Priory Church, Bedford, starting at 2.30 pm.

Congratulations to 1st Harlington who retain the trophy for another year - but only just.

Rules

The routine is shown below, or you can download it in "Word" format.

Teams should consist of a minimum of four boys. Where teams have a number of boys that is not divisible by two, the last boy should follow boy "A" except in stage 16 where he should march down the centre of the hall. Teams with less than four boys may take part, but will not be eligible for Champions Cup points. The marking will take into account the size of the team, i.e. some allowance will be made for the fact that a larger team is more likely to make errors.

An inspection will take place at the end of section 19.

The team should wear uniform in accordance with regulations. There will be no benefit from wearing hats. If hats are worn, the whole team should wear them.

The hall will be set out with four cones, spaced approximately 7 m apart widthways and 10 m apart lengthways. These cones should be used throughout the routine as the corner markers, as shown in the diagrams. There will be some space left around the sides of the hall.
