Anchor Boy Party

The Anchor Boy Party this year is on Saturday 18th November from 2.00pm until 4.30pm at Flitwick Methodist Church.

Each boy is asked to bring some food with him that he can share for the party tea. Suggestions include Crisps, Small Sausages, Sausage Rolls, Diced cheese & pineapple, ham, chicken nuggets, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and carrot sticks, cakes, biscuits etc.

We will provide paper plates and bowls, plastic cups & drinks.

Please can boys come wearing a sticker with their name and company on it so we know who's who.

Please advise numbers attending to Jo Mallams by Friday 17th November.

Uniform is not required.

Programme:

Host to start the party by having the boys sitting in line in their Companies and welcome them.

Split boys into two groups. (Half boys upstairs and the rest downstairs in the church.)

Quiet games (45 minutes) (upstairs):

  1. Pass the parcel (require 2, one for each session)
  2. White chocolate dice game (if roll six wear scarf, hat gloves and eat using knife and fork)
  3. Ladders (boys sit in pairs facing, feet touching, pairs numbered. When number called that pair have to run down, round and down the rest of the ladder back to their places.)

Noisy games (45 minutes) (downstairs):

  1. Musical chairs
  2. Musical bumps
  3. Split boys into two teams. Play over and under. First team finished and sitting down wins.

After 45 minutes, swap the boys around. Leaders to stay with the boys so Leaders get a bit of game variety!

Have party tea (45 minutes approx). Offer grace / prayer.

Have a run around game if time left before parents collect.

As the boys leave, give each boy a Party Bag / lolly / choc bar / toy or something to take with them.
