Chaplain's Trading Competition

New for the 2016-17 season...

Reading: Matthew 25:14-30

Timing: From first session in September 2016 until 17 June 2017, one week before the Summer Competition.

Take an item belonging to the Company that is now surplus to requirements, damaged or no longer working. An item which may be described as "junk" by some.
The company will trade that item to get something better, of more value or of some use to the company.
There is no minimum or maximum number of trades, a company can stop trading at any point during the year, if they feel they have extracted maximum value and usefulness from the process.
Trades can be made through personal contact, for example, it may be that a former member has an emotional attachment to the original item and is willing to trade for it.
Items may be traded with local businesses, friends, family or the internet can be used.
No item can be bought or sold for cash.

The winners will be the company that, in the opinion of the Chaplain and any advisors he chooses to consult, increases the value and usefulness of their item from its starting item to the item they end with.
Photographs of the starting item and each traded item should be submitted to show the journey.
Extra points will be awarded if we receive short testimonials from the people traded with stating why they thought the trade was a good deal for them.
Photographic evidence and reports should be submitted to the Chaplain one week before the AGM 2017, at which the winners will be announced and some of the useful items traded up to will be displayed.

The judge's decision in all matters is final.
